Natalie is the type of person who carries many different traits. She discovered that tribal fusion style belly dance was the perfect means to express as well as get in touch with her inner emotions. She has been studying belly dance through videos (e.g., Fat Chance Belly Dance…) and many intensive workshops by various highly regarded belly dancers. After having to understand the basics of belly dance, she began performing as a solo artist right away at local gigs in Honolulu, Hawaii. Along the way of developing her style, she has been fusing elements of different dance forms, mainly techniques of street dancing and flamenco to build on her basic movements.
She has taken intensive workshops from, and holds her inspiration and acquisition of the basics on dancers, such as Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Mardi Love, Kami Liddle, Sabrina Fox, and Ansuya. In the local level, she studied intensely under Veronica Avery whom she learned the fluidity of body movements and graceful yet powerful arm movements influenced by flamenco. She also studied with Kalae Kaina whom she strengthened the basic techniques and developed combination styles. Natalie has been teaching belly dance since the year 2007.

Natalie formed the troop Nadeshiko in 2006 and joined Shakti Dance Movement in 2007. She was the choreographer for Nadeshiko, however, eventually she shifted her focus on activities with Shakti Dance Movement. She continues to perform as a solo artist at various events and parties.
The Duende in her dance creates magnetism between her and the audience. She strives to create the space where musicians, dancers, and the audience can experience the unity of elevated energy.
